Kreator sopstvenog prenosivog mehani\u010dkog orkestra sa kojim \u0107e nastupiti u Studiju M i izvesti program pod nazivom \u201eQuiet Motors\u201c. Zajedno s orkestrom Bastien \u0107e svirati svoju (d\u017eepnu) trubu a povremeno \u0107e se u blenderu na\u0107i zvuci sa video projekcije.<br \/>\n\u201ePortable Mechanical Orchestra\u201c poslednji je u nizu Bastienovih graditeljskih poduhvata.<\/h5>\n<h5>Prvu muzi\u010dku ma\u0161inu projektovao je jo\u0161 1977, a prvi orkestar 1986, Mecanium, koji se sastojao od ansambla automata koji su na elektromoto<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">rni pogon svirali akusti\u010dne tradicionalne instrumente iz celog sveta. Michel F. C\u00f4t\u00e9 bio je nenadma\u0161an u svom iscitiranom opisu i divljenju: the Mecanium is a &#8220;composer&#8217;s dream; a fail-safe orchestra at one&#8217;s fingertips obeying ever-so-gently his every command; a timeless-sounding orchestra, both futuristic and slightly Dada, conjuring ancient traditions in its surprisingly sensuous music. This is, in a nutshell what Pierre Bastien&#8217;s Mecanium is all about \u2013 a daydream of sorts that he has successfully pursued since 1976. The musicians of his orchestra are machines. And the idea behind it is simple, efficient and poetic: to have traditional instruments (Chinese lute, Morrocan bendir, Javanese saron, koto, violin, sanza, etc.) played by mechanical instruments made of meccano pieces and recycled turntable motors.
