This author uses a concise, reduced, almost reporterlike minimalistic style. Kecmanovi\u0107\u2019s prose, like a hyperrealistic report, at the same time resists excessive aestheticization and simplified realism which tries to recreate reality in literature and retell history and\u00a0give it another end. Published novels: The Last Chance<\/em> (1999), The Contents of the Hollow<\/em> (2001), Felix<\/em> (2007, \u201cBranko \u0106opi\u0107\u201d Prize), The Cannon was Hot<\/em> (2008, \u201cBorislav Peki\u0107\u201c Prize, \u201cMe\u0161a Selimovi\u0107\u201d Prize), Siberia<\/em> (2011). Kecmanovi\u0107 is the author of the collection of novels The Tumbling Walls<\/em> (2012). In 2012 he received the \u201cIvo Andri\u0107\u201d Prize for the short story Hysteria<\/em>. He is professor of American History at Becker College in Massachusetts in the USA. Vladimir Pi\u0161talo belongs to the generation of postmodernist authors from the beginning of the eighties of the 20th century. He started the \u201cBelgrade Manufacture of Dreams\u201d.
\nLinguistically inventive, thematically diverse and formally innovative, Pi\u0161talo\u2019s works are characterized by poetic associativity, by stepping into the fantastic and oneiric, as well as by humoristic observations. Most important books: The End of the Century<\/em> (short stories, 1990), Memory of a Stained Glass Window<\/em> (short stories, 1994), Stories from all over the World<\/em>
\n(1997), Alexandride<\/em> (novel, 1998), Millennium in Belgrade<\/em> (novel, 2000), Tesla, Portrait among the Masks<\/em> (novel, 2008, NIN Prize for the book of the year), Venice<\/em> (novel, 2011).
